Question 1

Do attendees need an app or an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Attendees scan the QR code with their phone camera and the album opens in the browser. They can add photos and videos straight away, without installing anything or signing up. That includes guests from outside your company, and there is nothing for IT to set up.

Question 2

Will it work for a large event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every plan has unlimited attendees, and everyone can upload at the same time. Standard has 10 GB, and you can add storage at any time for $1 per 10 GB.

Question 3

Can we control what appears in the album?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You and your co-hosts can approve photos and messages before they appear, delete any of them, remove a guest, switch everyone to view-only and stop new people from joining once the event is over. Only people with your QR code or link can open the album.

Question 4

Can our event photographer upload to the same album?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add them as the album’s photographer: they can upload large batches at once, and their photos sit alongside everyone else’s.

Question 5

Can we show the photos on screens at the venue?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every plan includes a live slideshow: open it on a laptop connected to a screen or projector, and new photos join it as they are added. With photo approval on, a photo reaches the screen only after you or a co-host approve it.

Question 6

How do we get the photos after the event?

Accepted Answer

Download the whole album as a ZIP in original quality, or send it to your Google Drive. A Standard album stays open for 30 days, then you still have 3 days to download everything. You can keep it open for six months or a full year after the event, and the year is $14.99 if you add it with the album.

Question 7

How does face search work?

Accepted Answer

An attendee takes a selfie and sees every photo they appear in. The selfie is used for that search and then discarded, unless the attendee chooses to save it. You can turn face search off for your album in the settings.

Question 8

Can we try it before we pay?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Create a free demo album, scan it with your phone and add a few photos to see exactly what your attendees will see.

Question 9

What is Drawbabble?

Accepted Answer

A drawing game for the big screen, included in every album (beta). Up to 20 attendees play on their own phones with no app, everyone else watches and votes, and a game lasts about 12 minutes with 10 players. You need at least 4 players, plus the host who runs the game and a laptop connected to the screen. The 10-minute demo doesn’t include it, and to play, the album’s owner first agrees that we collect game stats to improve it.
